Since its publication, over six million NRSVs have been sold. It is available in more than eighty different editions, including annotated study Bibles, an Anglicized Edition, a Catholic Edition, a Common Bible, pulpit and pew Bibles, and an edition featuring color prints from the Vatican Library, just to name a few. The NRSV and RSV are also available in the form of lectionaries, including a lectionary produced for Catholics in Canada, and in a variety of computer software programs.

Under its contract for publication of these texts, the NCC, through its Bible Translation and Utilization program, has granted exclusive license to:
